Ben jij benieuwd hoe de overheid er in de toekomst uit kan zien? In het DIT-lab (Discover Innovations of Tomorrow) werk je samen met andere studenten én professionals van DUO aan vraagstukken rond digitale identiteit en publieke dienstverlening.

Het DIT-lab is gevestigd in de Digital Society Hub en biedt jou de kans om te leren, experimenteren en bijdragen aan innovaties. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan het digitaal uitgeven van diploma’s, dat grote impact kan hebben op hoe DUO haar diensten inricht. Of het testen van een persoonlijke datakluis die automatisch gegevens deelt met je aanvraag voor studiefinanciering – allemaal projecten die nog volop in ontwikkeling zijn. Je gaat aan de slag met actuele, complexe vraagstukken waarvoor we gebruikmaken van een gestructureerde innovatieaanpak. Samen onderzoeken we wat er technisch mogelijk is én wat gebruikers nodig hebben.

In het DIT-lab werk je:

• In multidisciplinaire teams met studenten en DUO-medewerkers
• Met opkomende technologieën zoals Self Sovereign Identity (SSI), verifiable credentials (VC), privacy enhancing technologies en datakluizen
• In een open en dynamische leeromgeving waar experimenteren en samenwerken centraal staan

Het DIT-lab zoekt een stagiair die scenario’s ontwikkelt voor de game "Projekt Kiosk" – een interactieve ervaring waarin thema’s als digitale identiteit, privacy en zelfbeschikking centraal staan.

Over de game

In een alternatieve toekomst waarin techbedrijven en overheden vrijwel elk aspect van het dagelijks leven controleren, is er een nieuw ID-systeem ontstaan: Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI). Jij runt een kiosk – een van de weinige plekken waar mensen nog anoniem goederen kunnen kopen. Via dialoog en keuzes help je klanten, controleer je digitale ID’s en bepaal je of je hun vertrouwen wint… of juist misbruikt.

Wat ga je doen?

• Ontwerpen en uitwerken van meerdere scenario’s en verhaallijnen binnen de wereld van Projekt Kiosk
• Maken van personages en dialoogstructuren met morele keuzes
• Onderzoek doen naar actuele thema’s zoals digitale identiteit, surveillance en privacy

Wat vragen we?

• Je studeert in de richting van Game Design of Communicatie, Multimedia en Design (CMD)
• Je bent goed in het schrijven van verhalen, dialogen en/of scenario’s
• Je hebt affiniteit met maatschappelijke of technologische thema’s
• Je bent creatief, zelfstandig en werkt graag in teamverband

Contribute to the digital government of tomorrow – in DUO’s DIT Lab Are you curious about what the government of the future could look like? In the DIT Lab (Discover Innovations of Tomorrow), you’ll work together with other students and DUO professionals on challenges surrounding digital identity and public services. 

The DIT Lab is located in the Digital Society Hub and offers you the chance to learn, experiment, and contribute to innovations. Think, for example, of digitally issuing diplomas, which could have a major impact on how DUO organizes its services. Or testing a personal data vault that automatically shares information with your student finance application – all projects that are still under development. You’ll work on current, complex issues using a structured innovation approach. Together, we explore what is technically possible and what users need. 

In the DIT Lab, you will work:

• In multidisciplinary teams with students and DUO employees
• With emerging technologies such as Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), verifiable credentials (VC), privacy-enhancing technologies, and data vaults
• In an open and dynamic learning environment where experimentation and collaboration are key

About the game

In an alternate future where tech companies and governments control almost every aspect of daily life, a new ID system called Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) has emerged. You run a kiosk – one of the few remaining places where people can anonymously buy goods. Through dialogue and decision-making, you help customers, check digital IDs, and choose whether to earn their trust… or exploit it.

What will you do?

• Design and develop multiple scenarios and storylines within the world of Projekt Kiosk
• Create characters and write branching dialogue with moral choices
• Research relevant themes like digital identity, surveillance, and privacy

Who are we looking for?

• You are studying Game Design or Communication, Multimedia and Design (CMD)
• You enjoy writing stories, dialogues, and/or narrative concepts
• You have an interest in social or technological topics
• You are creative, independent, and enjoy working as part of a team
